Freq Shop is a recording studio and creative space located in the heart of Montreal. We offer sound recording, mixing, mastering and songwriting services. You can also hire our in house producers Derek Orsi & Dave Traina to produce your next song.
The studio is home to a collection of classic instruments, amplifiers, microphones and outboard gear driven by a 32 input Pro Tools rig on Mac. Tube equipment, discrete class A preamplifiers, tape machines, plugins and virtual instruments populate the studio's FX rack, creating a hybrid platform built for versatility (see GEAR list below).
Freq Shop offers both artists and producers a professional work environment within a cocoon of comfort. A live room, control room, iso booth and kitchen provide a variety of acoustic spaces while the lounge and courtyard are a great place to kick back and relax. The studio doubles as an electrifying live venue and is perfect for photo shoots, video productions and podcasts.
